LANDERCOLL MHEC for EIFS/ETICS Systems
Trusted Water Retention & Anti-Sag Cellulose Ether
Landercoll MHEC (Methyl Hydroxyethyl Cellulose) is produced via etherification of refined cellulose with methyl and hydroxyethyl groups. When dispersed in EIFS/ETICS mortar systems, it rapidly hydrates to form a stable colloidal solution, delivering exceptional water retention, extended open time, and superior anti‑sag properties – ensuring consistent trowelability and strong bond strength on vertical substrates.
As a dedicated cellulose ether supplier, Landercoll offers both standard and customized MHEC grades engineered specifically for exterior insulation and finish systems, backed by rigorous quality control and technical support.
- Strong adhesion between system layers.
- ISO-certified production, REACH-compliant for European markets.
- Moisture content: ≤5% | Ash content:≤3% | pH value: 6-8

Methyl Hydroxyethyl Cellulose - Packaging and Size
We package MHEC in paper bags with plastic liners to provide extra protection. Please keep the product sealed and store it in a cool, dry place, away from moisture, direct sunlight, and sources of ignition.
MHEC Supplier with Good Reputation
Landercoll® has been a trusted name in cellulose ether manufacturing for years, backed by three production bases equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. Our manufacturing process features 16 horizontal reactors and 4 vertical reactors ensuring high-capacity, consistent output, alongside a DCS (Distributed Control System) for fully automated production and an SIS (Safety Instrumented System) for real-time process safety.
MHEC Manufacturing & Purification Process
Raw Material Selection: We begin with high-purity refined cotton linter, characterized by low ash and negligible impurities.
Etherification: The cellulose is alkalized under precisely controlled conditions, followed by etherification to introduce methoxyl and hydroxypropyl groups.
Purification: The crude product undergoes successive washing and filtration stages to remove by‑products and residual salts, achieving exceptional purity suitable for demanding applications.
