1. Is LANDU a manufacturer or a trading company?
A direct manufacturer. LANDU started as a trading company in 2008, but we built our first cellulose ether factory in Jinan in 2011, and today we operate three production bases. Our annual capacity exceeds 75,000 tons, and we supply customers across more than 60 countries worldwide. When you source from LANDU, you are buying directly from the factory—no intermediaries, no markups.
2. What certifications does LANDU hold?
LANDU is certified under ISO 9001, EU REACH for sustainability and corporate social responsibility. REACH certification is particularly important for buyers in Europe—it confirms that our entire product portfolio complies with EU safety, health, and environmental standards for chemical substances. Many international procurement teams list REACH as a mandatory requirement, and LANDU has already met it.
3. How long has LANDU been in the cellulose ether business?
LANDU was founded in 2008, but our key personnel bring more than 17 years of industry experience, spanning R&D, production, and formulation applications. In 2017, we opened a dedicated technical research center in Jinan to support product development and formulation testing. For procurement teams looking beyond price—into technical capability and long-term stability—this depth of experience matters.
4. Where are LANDU's production facilities located?
All three of our manufacturing bases are located in Shandong Province, China, with our headquarters in Jinan. Shandong is a major chemical manufacturing hub with well-developed logistics infrastructure, allowing us to serve both domestic and export markets efficiently.

Yes. LANDU offers flexible customization options, including product modifications tailored to specific application requirements and private labeling for distribution partners. Our three-tier product solutions cover cost-effective standard grades, high-performance modified cellulose ethers, and fully custom formulations.
