What is Rigid Redispersible Polymer Powder (RDP)?
Flexible redispersible polymer powder (RDP) improves flexibility and adhesion in dry-mix mortars after re-dispersion. Product Naming Convention:
The first two digits indicate the emulsion type:
40–49: VAE emulsion
50–59: VAE emulsion
70–79: VA/E/VV emulsion
80–89: VA/VV/AC emulsion
90–99: S/AC emulsion
The last two digits are related to the glass transition temperature (Tg) of the product. A higher number indicates a lower Tg.
The final letter indicates the product grade:
N = Standard Grade
E = Enhanced Grade
H = Hydrophobic Grade
L = Self-Leveling Grade

Low-Tg RDP Applications
Low-Tg redispersible polymer powder (e.g. Tg -10°C) provides excellent flexibility and crack resistance. It is recommended for applications requiring high deformability, such as flexible tile adhesive (C2 grade), skim coat mortar and anti-crack wall putty.
High-Tg RDP Applications
High-Tg redispersible polymer powder (e.g. Tg 15°C) offers higher hardness, compressive strength and bonding performance. It is suitable for applications requiring high rigidity and adhesion strength, such as self-leveling mortar, rigid tile adhesive (C0/C1 grade) and interface treatment mortar.
